Surly Wench
Also high on the list for Tucson’s most eclectic jukebox is The Surly Wench, which tends to lean in a little more of a punk direction. Bartender Derek Eysenbach sees the pluses in not having "to be responsible for putting on the music at the bar. Customers can pick what they want.”
Upside?
Specifically, about this jukebox, I like that it’s eclectic.
Downside?
The repetition and that there’s probably a dozen CDs on there that I just can’t stand. It’s the owner’s discretion.
Favorite artist?
Queens of the Stone Age.
Least favorite?
The "Dirty Dancing" soundtrack. That would be my absolute most-hated CD on there.
Other notable artists: Kenny Rogers, Le Tigre, Dropkick Murphys, The Dead Kennedys, The Scorpions, Weezer, Billy Idol, The Cramps, Amy Winehouse, Hard Candy, Cypress Hill
