Open Studio Tour

In the Tucson art world, the Tucson Artists' Open Studios is the equivalent of a backstage pass. Since 1987, artists have played generous hosts, inviting the public into their spaces. The March 14 and 15 version of the twice-yearly event sees more than 100 artists participating—about 25 of them completely new to the tour—at 66 locations around town. We caught up with a number of downtown-area artists for our mini-tour here, with the idea that you could bike from place to place if you're feeling this amazing weather. But artists are positioned throughout Pima County to demonstrate what they do, chat about their work and, of course, sell pieces should you be so moved. Maps to the studio tour can be had at Dinnerware Artspace.
