Weighing the pros and cons from 'The Matrix' to 'Pretty in Pink'

Many movies present their characters with really tough choices. Cut the red wire or the blue? Save your family or the world? Date the popular guy or the annoying nerd?

In Richard Kelly’s “The Box,” opening Nov. 6, the director of “Donnie Darko” (and, um “Southland Tales”) presents a new dilemma: should a couple push a button that will give them a million dollars at the expense of a total stranger’s life?

It’s not an easy call, so we’re taking a look back at other movies (many involving Keanu Reeves) that have featured tough choices of their own. We won’t spoil what happens, just evaluate the pros and cons of some of the hardest decisions in cinema.
