The best: "Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay" (2008)
Much like “The Hangover Part II,” this comedy sequel targets younger audiences with a taste for the absurd, the grotesque, and the grotesquely absurd. College-aged Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) prefer cannabis to cocktails, possessing an appetite for pot that leads to trouble when Kumar’s bong is mistaken for a weapon on a flight to Amsterdam.
Branded as terrorists, the duo land in the titular post-9/11 prison. Their adventure alternates clever topical humor with enjoyably crass sight gags, brings back Neil Patrick Harris as a hooker-loving horndog version of his real self, and even features a joint-smoking George W. Bush. This is indeed some good, um, “stuff.”
