“Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle” (2004)
This great stoner quest for late-night munchies might be the shortest—and most tripped-out—road trip in movie history. The adventure starts simply enough: entry level investment banker Harold (John Cho) and reluctant medical school candidate Kumar (Kal Penn) kick off their Friday night in high style.
Then an ad for White Castle hamburgers sends them out the door, dead-set on fast food. Traversing New Jersey, they keep searching for the elusive restaurant, while everyone they encounter is even more insane than they are. Harold and Kumar start the night as irresponsible stoners, but end it as the chaperones of a mad circus.
