Kingfisher Bar & Grill

The seafood restaurant has had good buzz for years, and with good reason: It consistently delivers with exquisite, no-nonsense food. And if you don't trust your own palate, trust those of the many locals chefs who choose to eat here in their off-time. The pan-seared sea scallops ($24) are an all-out culinary symphony, an ingenious teaming of flavors and texture. And, to keep your bill down, order off the bar menu, which has a fantastically indulgent burger ($11) with bacon, cheddar, gorgonzola, roasted red peppers and poblano chiles. The wine selection is vast, the specialty cocktails are, well, special, and we love sipping on them in a cozy booth in the bar.
