Hot Dog Tutuli

This cart mainly caters to the downtown business crowd during the day, which forces them to keep it simple for speed. These “100% Sonorense” hot dogs next to the Joel D. Valdez Main Library on Stone Avenue have fewer ingredients than many others, instead focusing mainly on the cheese.
The $3 hot dogs come on a toasted bun with beans, grilled onions, tomatoes, mayo and mustard. They’re not wrapped in bacon (which to some is sacrilege but to us is spendthrift) but come encased in a soft, stretchy layer of queso. Plus, their onions are heftier and smoother than the rest, and their bun is simple and soft, but thicker than the standard. If you have a choice between Tutuli and starving, take the Tutuli. The calories should last you all day.
