Tucson's best: ice cream
Credit:Tucson Citizen
If you’re tired of the old DQ but those Dippin’ Dots freak you out, don’t fret. Ice cream is more diverse than you think.
And, sure, you could make the summer treat yourself by freezing it with liquid nitrogen, stirring it by hand or churnning it in a machine. You could even wrap it in a glutinous mound of sticky rice or pour beer in it.
But don’t worry: Many Tucson shops and restaurants will do that all for you. Or at least find someone to do it for them. From gelato shops to sushi joints serving mochi, plenty of places around town offer more than just the standard vanilla. Here are our suggestions for where to find the best.—Andi Berlin/Special to Metromix
