Pastiche

You don’t usually snack on a piece of cold duck unless you had Chinese food the night before. But Pastiche has managed to make fowl the centerpiece of a brilliant salad. The Asian duck salad with seared duck breast, baby greens and fried wontons ($15 pictured here, $10 for the bistro portion) is a godsend. Just don’t forget to order an extra side of that house-made sesame soy vinaigrette—they never seem to put on enough. Better yet, pair it with a bottle of pinot noir from their wine shop next door.
