Arguably the best beans in the city – seriously, though, if you're a vegetarian, be aware that lard is an important ingredient to making them so amazing – this unassuming birrieria is a best-kept secret among downtowners and South Tucsonans. The good folks here also slow-roast their meats, and we're ready to give them an away for their birria (shredded beef so tender you might shed a little tear), too. The morning crowd swears by the huevos rancheros, enjoyed in the small indoor area. The remaining seating is on a screened-in patio.
