A diner with down-home country appeal – the mismatched coffee mugs that grace all the tables, for instance – be sure you'll find comfort food here. The Crying Onion stops short of the real heart-attack specials (like chicken fried chicken) many diners serve up, even including something as fancy (again, remember, we're in DinerLand) as a Portobello mushroom sandwich. But don't worry, you'll still find plenty of traditional fare, like creamed chipped beef on toast and some of the best pancakes in Tucson.
